The truth about so-called school “choice”

A small but loud group of privatizers are demanding school “choice” in Montana.
 

“Choice” is a nice word. But what does it really mean? In this case, it’s code for “privatization.”
 

The people demanding “choice” want to take public tax dollars away from Montana’s public schools and channel the money to private and religious schools.
 

MEA-MFT is fighting back – and we’re working with Montana parents, school board members, school administrators, and many others to keep our public schools public.
 

We’re part of a coalition of public school proponents in Montana that recently released this report on the issue of charter schools, privatization, and the push for so-called “choice.”
