MFPE Member Brandon Skogen is a Public Safety Communications Officer with the City of Great Falls. As such, he is on the frontline of the COVID-19 outbreak doing work that matters. “As Public Safety Communications Officers, we are the first contact that people have with Emergency Services.  Strict questioning of every potential medical patient is a must. This adds additional time and resources to every medical call, in addition to the normal everyday calls. We have the duty to protect our First Responders and we do this by getting them the best and most accurate information that we can.”

Asked if he had any advice for his fellow Montanans during this crisis, Brandon responded, “keep informed but don’t panic. If you panic then people around you will panic. Information is key to being informed and staying calm.”
