2020 MFPE Educator Conference to be Held Virtually

The Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) announced today that it will be holding its 2020 MFPE Educators Conference virtually this fall.

The 2020 MFPE Educator Conference was originally scheduled to be held at C.M. Russell High School in Great Falls, Montana, October 15 and 16. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MFPE has selected to move this year’s MFPE Educator Conference on-line.

“This was a difficult decision,” said MFPE President Eric Feaver, “but given the uncertainty caused by COVID-19, we determined that it was in the best interest of this year’s attendees to hold our conference virtually. People from all over the country and thousands of Montana educators and public employees attend the MFPE Educator Conference every year. We want to host a conference everyone can attend safely, while continuing our great Montana tradition of providing top-notch professional development for Montana educators.”

The MFPE Educators Conference is an annual professional development conference that attracts between two to three thousand Montana educators every October. MFPE teams up with 18 Montana curriculum groups to bring attendees the best in professional learning. More than 500 workshops, keynotes, and institutes are typically offered during the conference.

MFPE plans to return to a physical conference setting for its 2021 MFPE Educator Conference to be held in Great Falls.

MFPE is Montana’s largest and most diverse union, representing over 23,000 members employed in a public education and public services throughout Montana.
