MFPE provides many resources to help you do your job better and with greater satisfaction. And we give you a voice in public policy decisions that affect you and your job.
Our cutting-edge workshops and conferences help you expand your knowledge, skills, and career options. MFPE offers these sessions all over the state.
MFPE’s Regional Training sessions are free and open to all members. These sessions provide leadership development training on a variety of union and professional issues such as bargaining and grievance processing, job descriptions and evaluations, pay equity, good labor-management relations, and communicating effectively with your community members.
Leaders for a Just Society is a six-week, online professional learning opportunity designed for public workers and educators, including support personnel. Trainers and participants will work together to explore the role of equity in public service and review tools to implement equitable practices in workplaces and classrooms. Through discussion and reflection, participants will develop their own goals and actions steps to make their workplace practice more just and fair.
MFPE offers training to help both certified teachers and education support professionals hone their skills and meet state and national standards.

Teacher Leadership Initiative (TLI).
Our Annual Educators Conference takes place every October, offering hundreds of sectionals on every topic in education.
Through our Montana Professional Teaching Foundation, we coordinate National Board Certification support and Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science teaching.
MFPE provides leadership at local, state, and national levels in promoting high standards of excellence in public services and public education. We work closely with the Board of Public Education, Board of Regents, Public Employees and Teacher Retirement Systems, and other public entities, making sure our members’ concerns are represented. Our members can rest easy knowing that MFPE is keeping close track of these public entities.
