Member Rights and Legal Services Program
MFPE offers member rights and legal assistance in employment-related matters. Every MFPE member has certain contractual and statutory rights, and MFPE is here to protect them.
Assistance is also available for grievances and unfair labor practices involving such matters as:
- Dismissal
- Discipline
- Nonrenewals
- Layoffs
- Assignment of duties
- Denial of benefits
- Refusal to bargain in good faith
- Transfers
- Working conditions
A false accusation or unfair dismissal can blindside the best employee. If it ever happens to you, you’ll have MFPE on your side. MFPE has been highly successful in defending its members and protecting every collective bargaining agreement. We also provide training to our local members in advocacy and employee rights.
