MFPE is making a final pitch for applicants for the 2019-20 Teacher Leadership Institute (TLI) cadre. We currently have 20 applicants from our spring membership drive. We have room for only 20 more cadre members.

TLI is NEA’s premier teacher leadership program. MFPE members have had the great fortune of being involved in TLI for the past five years. These TLI cadres have provided the opportunity for nearly 100 members to move forward on their leadership pathway in the areas of instructional, policy and union leadership.

In the second semester of the TLI experience, after significate study, each TLI participate will choose a Capstone Leadership project in the area of their interest. These Capstone projects will tie together the entire TLI curriculum. Past Capstones have been truly transformational in many school districts, providing TLI fellows with significant local recognition and future leadership opportunities. You can view summaries of past capstone project on our website. See the link below.

TLI provides a perfect opportunity for you and/or your colleagues to develop leadership skills.

The Teacher Leadership Institute (TLI) application final deadline is September 13.   Notification of acceptance will be by September 16. Please apply or share the attached application flyer with members you believe would be a good fit for TLI. For more information view the video below and visit our website. https://www.mfpe.org/tli/

This is something I would like to try but I’m wondering how would it benefit me in the classroom?
