Informational Picketing and Mediation Results in a Tentative Agreement for Great Falls School Office Personnel

(GREAT FALLS, MONT.) Late Tuesday evening–after back to back days of informational picketing and seven months of bargaining–a tentative agreement was reached between Great Falls Office Personnel and the school district.

The tentative agreement includes pay increases substantially more than the district’s original offer. Details of the tentative agreement will be released once union members have had a chance to review the deal and vote on its ratification Thursday, November 30th. The agreement, when ratified, will bring the Great Falls Office Personnel’s wages much closer to their counterparts in similar districts.

“This deal would not have been possible without our members’ incredible solidarity and engagement,” said Office Personnel President Daneen Pate. “Together, we’ve secured a fair agreement. While our union reviews the agreement, we’d like to thank the community for their support and acknowledge district leaderships’ good faith bargaining this week.”

“This outcome shows what’s possible when union members join together,” said MFPE President Amanda Curtis. “We’re all incredibly proud of the Association of Office Personnel members and grateful to the larger labor family who stood with us in solidarity.”
